Creating a mock strategy/ team rating

#1

12 team Full PPR league. I will be the 10th pick in a snake draft and trying to create a strategy around that. I’ve been using the FantasyPros Draft Wizard so maybe these results are not realistic. I would love some criticism on some of my choices. These are the two teams I’ve drafted using 2 different strategies:

Strategy: ~Double Stud WR into 2 Decent RBs~

1.10. OBJ
2.3. Michael Thomas
3.10. Jordan Howard over a TE (Kelce)
4.3. Guice over Kenyan Drake
5.10. Cam Newton over a WR (Crabtree)
6.3. Sammy Watkins over Emmanuel Sanders or Pierre Garcon
7.10. Jamison Crowder
8.3. Mark Ingram (S) over a TE (Trey Burton)
9.10. Trey Burton
10.3. Rex Burkhead
11.10. Aaron Jones (S) over Isaiah Crowell or a 2nd QB (Rivers/ Big Ben)
12.3. Philip Rivers over Matt Ryan & Big Ben
13.10. Eagles DST
14.3. Tyler Lockett
15.10. I forgot
16.3. Justin Tucker

Strategy: ~Stud WR and RB into decent RB and WR~

1.10. DeAndre Hopkins
2.3. Melvin Gordon over Fournette
3.10. Joe Mixon over a TE (Kelce)
4.3. Amari Cooper over Demaryius Thomas
5.10. Russell Wilson
6.3. Chris Hogan over Pierre Garcon or Emmanuel Sanders
7.10. Alex Collins
8.3. Dion Lewis over Sony Michel
9.10. Sterling Shepard
10.3. Trey Burton
11.10. Andrew Luck over Philip Rivers
12.3. Cameron Meredith
13.10. Eagles DST
14.3. Latavius Murray
15.10. Austin Ekeler or Justin Jackson (cuff to Melvin)
16.3. Greg Zuerlein

I slightly prefer your 2nd team as well as your second strategy. But I’ve also been bred on the importance of dependable fantasy RBs so I don’t think I could do a Zero-RB approach, personally.

I will say that I do feel more stable with the 2nd team as well. My first team has some excitement like Guice, getting Ingram in the 8th round (how often would that really happen though?), and Sammy Watkins but overall probably isn’t as safe.

I noticed alot of the same players were appearing each round besides a few who fall through the cracks here or there. Round 1, it’s always OBJ/ Thomas/ Melvin Gordon around the 10th pick, maybe Hopkins slides through the cracks and I grab him. But on the way back I pick another one of those 3. So I guess my strategy would be on the fly until after rounds 1/2?
