Trade Advice - Vets vs Youth

#1

DYNASTY
12 team, .5 PPR, SuperFlex.

My team is below. I’m always looking to win now. I was offered:

GET:
-Melvin Gordon
-Alex Smith
-Jordy Nelson

GIVE:
-Lamar Jackson
-Josh Allen
-Royce Freeman
-3 x 2019 first rounders (1 likely early, 2 more likely later)

Like I said, always want to win now. Is this a fair trade? It seems to help my team now, but is the future cost too much?

QB: Cousins, Tannehill, Josh Allen
RB: Gurley, Royce Freeman, D’Onta Foreman, Abdullah, Dixon, Duke, Dion Lewis
WR: Kennan Allen, Michael Thomas, Courtland Sutton, John Ross, Noah Brown, Taylor Gabriel, Jermaine Kearse, Marqise Lee, Cordarrelle Patterson, Taywan Taylor
TE: Ebron, Eifert, Graham

My personal opinion, Jordy Nelson doesn’t really appeal to me, and Alex Smith isn’t a significant improvement (if at all) over what you have in Cousins, so you’re essentially receiving Gordon. And while he would certainly boost your (besides Gurley) otherwise unattractive RB lineup, I still feel like you’d be giving up a LOT for what in my mind equates to one player.

I think you’re current lineup is actually decent for both now and the future aside from needing more RB depth.

I completely agree on Jordy. I think he could have value, but more of a toss in than anything else.

So just a note that it is a Superflex, so effectively 2 QB. I’d start Cousins and Tannehill right now. Does that change anything?

Oh I must’ve glossed over the Superflex part. Sorry!

A lot of people are also pretty high on Royce, so for Dynasty he may be worth keeping.
